Common Uses of Zotane:
This medicine is an anesthetic, steroid, and antibacterial combination used in the ear to treat pain associated with ear infections.

How To Use Zotane:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. TO USE EAR DROPS: lie down or tilt your head so that the affected ear faces up. For adults: gently pull the earlobe up and back to straighten the ear canal. For children: gently pull the earlobe down and back to straighten the ear canal. Drop the medicine into the ear canal. If you have difficulty keeping this medicine in your ear, ask your doctor about using a clean cotton plug in your ear. To prevent germs from entering this medicine, do not touch the applicator to any surface including the ear. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, away from heat and light. Keep the container tightly closed. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Zotane Cautions:
If your symptoms do not improve within a few days or if they become worse, check with your doctor. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

Possible Side Effects of Zotane:
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include stinging, itching, or burning in the ear. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
