Common Uses of Zonalon:
This medicine is an antipruritic used to reduce itching associated with certain skin conditions.

How To Use Zonalon:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Wash and completely dry the affected area. Apply a thin film of this medicine to the affected area and gently rub it in. DO NOT BANDAGE OR WRAP the affected area unless directed otherwise by your doctor. Wash your hands immediately after using this medicine unless the medicine is being used to treat a skin condition on your hands. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dosed and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Zonalon Cautions:
DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE more often or for a longer time than recommended by your doctor. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE drowsiness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. THIS MEDICINE WILL ADD TO THE EFFECTS of alcohol and other depressants. Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines are depressants. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING THIS MEDICINE in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine, especially the drowsiness and confusion effects. FOR WOMEN: IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.

Possible Side Effects of Zonalon:
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include stinging or burning when applied, drowsiness, confusion, dry mouth, thirst, headache, fatigue, or dizziness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
