Common Uses of Stimate:
This medicine is an antidiuretic hormone used to treat bleeding episodes in patients with hemophilia or von Willebrand's disease. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How To Use Stimate:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine comes with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE FOR THE FIRST TIME, prime the pump by pressing down 4 times. THIS MEDICINE IS TO BE USED only in the nose. AFTER USING THIS MEDICINE FOR 25 DOSES, discard the unit and obtain a fresh product. IT IS BEST TO STORE THIS MEDICINE IN THE REFRIGERATOR, but it may be stored at room temperature for up to 3 weeks.
Stimate Cautions:
DO NOT USE MORE OF THIS MEDICINE or use it for longer than recommended because serious side effects may occur. KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are using this medicine. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist.
Possible Side Effects of Stimate:
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include headache, nausea, nasal congestion, runny nose, flushing, or abdominal cramps. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
