Common Uses of Sansert:
This medicine is an ergot derivative used to prevent or reduce the severity of vascular headaches.
How To Use Sansert:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. TAKE THIS MEDICINE with food or milk. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Sansert Cautions:
SEVERAL DAYS MAY PASS before you feel the full benefit of this medicine. IF YOUR SYMPTOMS DO NOT IMPROVE within 3 weeks or if they become worse, check with your doctor. DO NOT TAKE MORE OF THIS MEDICINE or take it for longer than prescribed. Do not take this medicine for longer than 6 months unless directed otherwise by your doctor. If you have been taking this medicine regularly, check with your doctor before you stop taking this medicine. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE drowsiness or dizziness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. If you are or may be pregnant, check with your doctor for instructions on using this medicine during pregnancy.
Possible Side Effects of Sansert:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medicine include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, difficulty sleeping or drowsiness, or decreased coordination. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience leg cramps when walking; swelling of the ankles or hands; flank or chest pain; painful urination; shortness of breath; or cold, numb, or painful fingers or toes. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
