Common Uses of Sal-Tropine:This medicine is an anticholinergic used to treat bladder or bowel spasms, to reduce salivation, or in combination with other medicines to treat ulcers. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How To Use Sal-Tropine:Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT take 2 doses at once.
Sal-Tropine Cautions:If your symptoms do not improve within a few days or if they become worse, check with your doctor. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE drowsiness or blurred vision. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. THIS MEDICINE WILL ADD TO THE EFFECTS of alcohol and other depressants. Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines are depressants. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. DO NOT BECOME OVERHEATED in hot weather or during exercise or other activities since heat stroke may occur while you are taking this medicine. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE your eyes to become sensitive to sunlight. Wearing sunglasses may help. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
Possible Side Effects of Sal-Tropine:SIDE EFFECTS that may go away during treatment include dry mouth, drowsiness, blurred vision, dizziness, decreased sweating, constipation, nausea, loss of taste, headache, difficulty sleeping, or nervousness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience unusual weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty urinating, difficulty focusing your eyes, rash, or a fast/irregular heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
