Common Uses of Quadra-Hist D:
This medicine is an antihistamine and decongestant combination used to relieve congestion, sneezing, and watery eyes due to colds, flu, or hay fever. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How To Use Quadra-Hist D:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. SWALLOW THE CAPSULE WHOLE or open the capsule and sprinkle the contents on a small amount of soft, cool food (e.g., applesauce). Swallow the drug/food mixture immediately without chewing. Do not store mixture for later use. THIS MEDICINE MAY BE TAKEN WITH FOOD if it upsets your stomach. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT take 2 doses at once.

DO NOT DRIVE, OPERATE MACHINERY, OR DO ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS until you know how you react to this medicine. Using this medicine alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. THIS MEDICINE WILL ADD TO THE EFFECTS of alcohol and other depressants. Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines are depressants. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINES, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. DO NOT TAKE DIET OR APPETITE CONTROL MEDICINES while you are taking this medicine without checking with your doctor. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE SLEEPING, ask your pharmacist or doctor about the best time of day to take this medicine. Caution should be used in the elderly since they may be more sensitive to the effects of this medicine. IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
Possible Side Effects of Quadra-Hist D:
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include nervousness; dizziness; trouble sleeping or drowsiness; dry mouth, throat, or nose; nausea; or headache. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, or hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
