Common Uses of Plexion:This medicine is used as a cleansing product to help treat acne. This product contains an antibiotic and drying agent that work by promoting the shedding of the top layer of skin (keratolysis). It may also be used to treat other skin conditions as determined by your doctor.
How To Use Plexion:Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Wash your hands before and immediately after using this medicine. This medicine is for use on the skin only. Clean the affected area before applying this medicine. Wet skin and apply plenty of this medicine. Rub gently into the skin for 10 to 20 seconds to form a full lather, rinse completely, and pat dry. This medicine is usually used once or twice daily. Follow the instructions given by your doctor. Consult your doctor if your skin becomes too dry. You may need to rinse the cleanser off sooner or use it less often. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature between 59 and 77 degrees F (15 to 25 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. DO NOT STORE IN THE BATHROOM. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Plexion Cautions:If your symptoms do not improve within a few weeks or if they become worse, check with your doctor. Do not use any other medicines or special cleansers on your skin unless otherwise directed by your doctor. AVOID GETTING THIS MEDICINE in your eyes or on the inside of your nose or mouth. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while using this medicine.
Possible Side Effects of Plexion:SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include redness or irritation. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience cracked skin, or rash. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience weakness, dark urine, yellowing of eyes or skin, persistent sore throat, fever, or if you begin to bleed or bruise easily. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include, rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
