Common Uses of Gammar:
This medicine is used to provide antibodies to prevent certain infections in patients at increased risk of infection.

How To Use Gammar:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine is usually administered as an infusion at your doctor's office or clinic. This medicine is sometimes used at home as an infusion. IF YOU ARE USING THIS MEDICINE AT HOME, a healthcare professional will provide detailed instructions for its appropriate use. Ask any questions that you may have about this medicine. After adding the diluent to the vial that contains the powder, keep the vial in an upright position and gently swirl it to help the powder dissolve. DO NOT SHAKE this medicine. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE if it is cloudy or contains particles. Rapid infusion/high concentrations of this medicine may result in serious blood clots. Follow manufacturer's labeling recommendation for infusion rate and concentration, especially in those with a history of stroke, heart attack, blood vessel disease, or blood clots. They are at higher risk of this side effect. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C), away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, contact your doctor for instructions.

Gammar Cautions:
DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER IMMUNIZATIONS (VACCINATIONS) while you are using this medicine and for 3 months after you stop treatment without checking with your doctor. IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy.

Possible Side Effects of Gammar:
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include mild hip, joint, or back pain; leg cramps; muscle pain; nausea or vomiting; irritability; fatigue; lightheadedness or dizziness; or pain, tenderness, and muscle stiffness at the site of injection. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor promptly. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience fever or chills; sweating; rash, itching, or hives; swelling of the hands, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tongue; difficulty swallowing or breathing, severe headache, chest pain, leg pain/swelling, one-sided weakness, stomach/abdominal pain, vision problems, confusion, change in the amount of urine, or seizures. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
