Common Uses of Furacin:
This medicine is an anti-infective used to treat or prevent skin infections in wounds or burns. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How To Use Furacin:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Wash and completely dry the affected area. Gently rub the medicine in until it is evenly distributed. Wash your hands immediately after using this medicine. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE and you are using it regularly, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Furacin Cautions:
DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or use this medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. Do not use any other medicines or special cleansers on your skin unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. If your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse, check with your doctor. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.

Possible Side Effects of Furacin:
CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience itching, rash, or swelling of your skin. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
