Common Uses of Eryzole:This medicine is a macrolide antibiotic and a sulfonamide combination used to treat infections.
How To Use Eryzole:Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. SHAKE WELL before taking a dose. IF THIS MEDICINE UPSETS YOUR STOMACH, take it with food. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUID while you are taking this medicine. Store this medicine in the refrigerator. Do not freeze. TO CLEAR UP YOUR INFECTION COMPLETELY, continue taking this medicine for the full course of treatment even if you feel better in a few days. Do not miss any doses. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Eryzole Cautions:If your symptoms do not improve within a few days or if they become worse, check with your doctor. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE increased sensitivity to the sun. Avoid exposure to the sun or sunlamps until you know how you react to this medicine. Use a sunscreen if you must be outside for a prolonged period. DO NOT TAKE SELDANE (terfenadine) OR HISMANAL (astemizole) while taking this medicine. Caution should be used in infants since they may be more sensitive to the effects of this drug. Though very unlikely to happen, a stomach problem called IHPS (infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis) has been noted. Contact your child's doctor immediately if the child has persistent vomiting or increased irritability. IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
Possible Side Effects of Eryzole:SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include stomach cramping, stomach discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, or loss of appetite. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Rarely, this medicine can cause serious, even fatal, side effects such as a severe peeling skin rash known as Stevens- Johnson syndrome, blood disorders (e.g., agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia), or liver damage. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience skin rash or blisters, unusual fatigue, persistent sore throat or fever, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, or abdominal pain. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience vomiting, itching, vaginal irritation or discharge. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
