This medicine is an ergot alkaloid used to treat memory, mood, and behavior problems that sometime occur in elderly patients. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How To Use Ergoloid Mesylates:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Ergoloid Mesylates Cautions:
IMPROVEMENT IS USUALLY GRADUAL. It may take 3 to 4 weeks and sometimes up to 6 months for this medicine to work. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your doctor. If your symptoms worsen, check with your doctor.
Possible Side Effects of Ergoloid Mesylates:
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include stomach upset or nausea. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice any unusual effects, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
