Common Uses of Ercaf:This medicine is an ergot alkaloid and analgesic aid combination used to prevent and treat migraine headaches. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How To Use Ercaf:Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. BEGIN USING THIS MEDICINE at the first sign of an attack. DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN 6 TABLETS for any headache or 10 tablets in 1 week, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Do not use daily on a regular basis. AVOID EATING GRAPEFRUIT OR DRINKING GRAPEFRUIT JUICE WHILE TAKING THIS MEDICINE. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light.
Ercaf Cautions:IF YOUR SYMPTOMS DO NOT IMPROVE or if they become worse, check with your doctor. AVOID LARGE AMOUNTS OF caffeine-containing foods and beverages, such as coffee, tea, cocoa, cola drinks, and chocolate. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. FOR WOMEN: DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE if you are pregnant. IF YOU SUSPECT THAT YOU COULD BE PREGNANT, contact your doctor immediately. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
Possible Side Effects of Ercaf:SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include nausea, vomiting, weakness of the legs, or arm or leg pain. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience numbness or tingling of your fingers or toes, chest pain, change in heart rate, bluish discoloration of the fingers and toes, or itching. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
