If you are using this medicine at home, a healthcare professional will provide detailed instructions for its appropriate use. Ask any questions that you may have about this medicine or giving injections. This medicine may turn a pale straw color that might darken with time. This does not mean the medicine has lost its action. STORE THIS MEDICINE as directed on the prescription label. TO CLEAR UP YOUR INFECTION COMPLETELY, continue using this medicine for the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not miss any doses. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, contact your doctor immediately.
Capastat Sulfate Cautions:IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS for this medicine to work. Do not stop using this medicine without checking with your doctor. KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are using this medicine. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, EMERGENCY CARE, OR SURGERY, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS DRUG IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
Possible Side Effects of Capastat Sulfate:SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include pain or a hard lump at the injection site. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience ringing in the ears, sensation that the room is spinning, hearing loss, hives, sore throat, fever, or skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
