Common Uses of Bacteriostatic:
This product is a sterile, isotonic sodium chloride solution (with preservative) used to mix with certain medicines that are given by injection. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How To Use Bacteriostatic:
Follow the directions for using this product provided by your doctor. IF YOU ARE USING THIS PRODUCT AT HOME, a healthcare professional will provide detailed instructions for its appropriate use. Ask them any questions that you may have about your medicine or giving injections. IF YOU ARE USING THIS PRODUCT to flush an IV line, use a sufficient amount of solution to fill the catheter. Follow their advice as to the proper storage and for how long you may use this product after opening. If you have refrigerated this product, allow it to reach room temperature before using. DO NOT FREEZE this product. If the product contains particles or if the vial is cracked or damaged in any way, do not use it. WHEN DRAWING UP A DOSE INTO A SYRINGE, be sure to follow the procedure demonstrated to you to prevent contamination of the vial, syringe, or medicine. Never touch the rubber stopper of the vial or the needle of the syringe with your fingers. ALWAYS CAREFULLY CHECK that you have drawn up the correct dose before administration.

Bacteriostatic Cautions:
THIS PRODUCT IS TO BE MIXED with certain medicines just prior to injection. DO NOT INJECT THIS PRODUCT directly unless using it to flush an IV line. THIS PRODUCT CANNOT BE MIXED with all medicines. Use this product to mix only those medicines indicated by your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. DO NOT USE MORE OF THIS PRODUCT THAN RECOMMENDED by your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR OR NURSE, if the catheter is blocked and you are unable to properly flush it with this product.

Possible Side Effects of Bacteriostatic:
CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience redness or swelling at the injection site. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
